Alba mobile is designed to help you update territories as you work them. With Alba mobile, you can:
- Keep track of which addresses are "Home" or "Not home"
- See your location in relation to addresses
- Update address details, including name, status, language and telephone number
- Mark the territory completed
- Search for a name, telephone number or address, to see if it already exists in Alba
- Add a new address — either to your group's account, or to a different Alba account (think “S43”)
- Get driving directions to the territory
What the colours mean
- New Not yet determined if the person by this name speaks our group's foreign language
- Valid At least one person by this name speaks our group's foreign language
- Do not call The person by this name has asked not to be contacted again
- Moved No one by this name lives at this address
- Duplicate This address and/or telephone number is already listed in Alba
- Not valid The person by this name lives at this address but does not speak our group's foreign language
How to use
- To zoom in on an address, tap its marker
on the map, or tap its row in the list.
- To zoom out and see all addresses, tap anywhere else on the map.
- To see your location, tap Me. Your phone may ask permission to use your current location — tap OK. Your location will then update every five seconds. To follow yourself, tap
. To unfollow, tap
again (or any other marker or address row). To disable this feature, tap Me again.
- To see all addresses in the territory, including Not valid, Moved and Duplicate, tap All.
- To hide the map in order to expand the list of addresses, tap the Territory name. Tap again to show the map.
Address menu ()
- If you find someone home, tap Home. Likewise, Not home if you find no one at home.
- If an address has a telephone number, you can call it by tapping Call.
- If you find address information is incorrect or incomplete, tap Edit, then update or correct the details, then tap Save. If an existing address turns out not to be of your group's foreign language, but is of the foreign language of another Alba account — think S43 — you can submit it to that account here.
Territory menu ()
- If you find a new address, you can check to see if it already exists in Alba: From the Territory menu (), tap Search, then enter the name, telephone number, street address, language or note. As you type, Alba will show matching results below.
- To add a new address, from the Territory menu tap New address, fill in the details, then tap Add. If you find a new address that belongs to another foreign-language group — think S43 — you can submit it by choosing the group from the account selector.
- You can view and update your territory's notes by tapping Territory notes.
- When you have finished working a territory, you can mark it completed by tapping Territory completed. When a territory is marked completed, it is returned to Alba and no longer available for viewing or editing.
